The Landscape theme from StudioPress is designed to showcase large images using the WP-Cycle slider plugin, which is hard-coded into the theme’s home page layout. A footer gallery widget area provides a way to include thumbnails for an additional 6 images. This theme is heavily focused on images, so outside of the footer widgets, there’s no way to include non-image content on the home page. Because of its concentration on images, Landscape has a fixed home page design. In other words, it’s set by theme’s code, so it’s neither a blog style nor a widgetized home page.
