Inheritance of rights
In EDocman (and Joomla), permissions will be inherited, so you don’t need to set access permissions for each document and / or category, which makes it easier and faster to manage your permissions:
Permission can be configured at the component level, category level or document level.
The component’s resolution will be inherited from the site’s resolution setting.
The category resolution will be inherited from the component resolution setting.
The child category permission will be inherited from the parent category permission setting.
The document resolution will be inherited from the main category to which it is assigned.
